A historic day for medical imaging and radiation therapy in Pennsylvania! 🎉
Today, Governor Josh Shapiro signed Senate Bill 1334, the Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Health and Safety Act, into law!
This long-awaited achievement represents years of dedication, persistence, and advocacy to strengthen patient protections and establish professional standards for medical imaging and radiation therapy across the Commonwealth.
For PSRT, this is more than a legislative victory. It’s the culmination of countless conversations, relationships, and collaborative efforts, all driven by a shared commitment to protecting patients and advancing our profession.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Pennsylvania General Assembly, and the many organizations and individuals who helped move this legislation forward.
A special thank you to the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), our coalition partners, and every radiologic technologist, radiation therapist, and advocate who lent their voice to this effort.
