Only in New Orleans can last night’s termite swarms go from “absolutely not” to… a cute kids’ book. 😂

Five Little Termites is here, and honestly, it feels very on brand for us — because yes, we sell beautiful wooden cutting boards, furniture, and gifts… and yes, we are still emotionally recovering from the flying termites trying to move in last night.

Gross? Very adorable in book form? Somehow, yes.

This is one of those only-in-NOLA kids’ books that locals will fully understand — funny, a little too real, and perfect for raising the next generation to know that termite season is its own holiday around here.

Today we’re celebrating the moms, stepmoms, grandmothers, mother figures, and the women who show up with love in all the ways that matter.

We’re also holding space for those missing their moms today, grieving complicated relationships, or carrying love for someone who is no longer here.

However this day feels for you, we hope you feel seen, loved, and surrounded by a little extra kindness today. 🤍
