We work throughout the country and specifically in the Southeast region we service North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas. We specialize in renovations, new construction, as well as refreshing specific rooms or an entire home.

I haven’t done this in years, so I guess it’s time! To everyone who is new here, welcome! I’m Rivers, an interior designer based in New Orleans, LA. I’m originally from Jackson, MS but moved to New Orleans in 2012 to start my interior design business and have been here ever since. Even though I’m based in New Orleans, I do projects all over the United States with a concentration in the Southeast. I am able to do remote projects as well as travel to your home help you achieve your design goals for your home. I’ve been been married to my husband Guy for (almost! In June) 6 years, and we live uptown with our two dogs Birdie (the chocolate lab) and Busy (the beagle). I had retail stores (including a clothing store!) for over 10 years but closed both of them during COVID to focus solely on my interior design clients and their projects. I bought 3649 Magazine Street and turned it into my little jewel box of a studio and office two years ago. I love the architecture and storied richness of New Orleans and it’s history and find it inspiring to what I do. I’m an old soul and have a passion for antiques , which I like to weave through my interiors to create a narrative and sense of place for my designs. Follow along with me and enjoy behind the scenes peeks at my projects, process, travel, and a little bit of lifestyle, fashion and personal content. 💕

As I post these Christmas portraits of Birdie and me taken by only last week, I sit in a hospital room with my father for the sixth day in a row. He would be absolutely horrified that I said anything publicly about him and his health, which is why I chose to make the photos about me and not him. This week has been one of the worst of my life, as my father means the world to me. On Saturday evening, while my mother was in New Orleans with me (also suffering from the flu, from which she has now recovered) my dad was alone in jackson suffering from the flu. I was checking in with him and sending him Instacart deliveries of fluids and medicine and food—but he was alone. Ultimately, he became very dehydrated and fell several times in the night. The last time he fell he severely hit his head and was stuck on the floor for many hours until dear friends of mine were able to get to the house the next morning to call an ambulance. He has been cleared of any head injuries, fractures or breaks from his fall, but it turns out he was suffering from severe kidney issues. I won’t go into all the details, but we are still not out of the woods and my family will be spending Christmas in the hospital. I only mention that we are going through this so that all of you may send us your thoughts, prayers and well wishes for my dad to make a full recovery from this horrible event. I have wonderful close friends and a network of people who have been so giving of their time and energy to help me navigate this, and ultimately help him get the best care he can get. Thank you to everyone who has generously offered their help to me and my family during this difficult time and Merry Christmas, everyone 🎄

My guest bedroom and bathroom suite for , Les Fleurs du Marècage, is filled with personal touches such as my own Herend Queen Victoria China mixed with my great grandmother’s rose colored depression glass and my grandmother’s vintage brass flatware. I wanted the space to comport meaning and a point of view—my point of view. Being (very) Southern, I feel that collected family heirlooms add warmth and richness to a space, a kind of patina. Also, what’s better than being served breakfast in bed!
