🎃👻 Halloween Safety Starts at Home! 🏡🕸️
Keep the Frights Fun and Your Home Safe This Halloween!
Halloween is a time for spooky decorations, glowing pumpkins, creative costumes, and neighborhood fun! But before the trick-or-treaters arrive, it's important to make sure your home and surroundings are safe for everyone.
Whether you're decorating your porch, lighting up your walkway, or welcoming little ghosts and goblins, a few simple precautions can help prevent accidents and keep the holiday enjoyable.
👻 1. Decorate Safely
Choose sturdy, weather-resistant decorations and secure them properly. Keep sidewalks, steps, and entryways clear of obstacles, and make sure decorations don't block doors or exits.
🕯️ 2. Be Careful with Candles
Consider battery-operated candles or LED lights for jack-o'-lanterns and decorations. If using real candles, keep them away from flammable materials and never leave them unattended.
🔌 3. Check Electrical Cords
Use outdoor-rated extension cords and lighting for exterior decorations. Inspect cords for damage, avoid overloading outlets, and keep cords away from walkways to prevent tripping hazards.
🔦 4. Make Visibility a Priority
Keep porches and walkways well-lit. Encourage trick-or-treaters to wear reflective accessories, carry flashlights or glow sticks, and choose costumes that don't obstruct their vision.
🏘️ At PMHA, we believe safe homes help create stronger communities. Taking a few extra minutes to check decorations, lighting, and walkways can make a big difference in protecting residents, families, and visitors throughout the Halloween season.
🧡 A Safe Halloween Is a Happy Halloween!
Let's work together to keep our homes and neighborhoods safe while enjoying all the fun and excitement of the season!
🎃 Wishing everyone a safe, spooky, and Happy Halloween! 👻
