Strikes, spares, and plenty of laughs! 🎳

The Mobel Group team enjoyed a fantastic night out at Tenpin Tauranga yesterday.

While the competitive spirit was high at the start, there was just as much cheering each other on as there was trying to win.

David's Pink Team claimed victory by quite a margin, and Maung earned bragging rights as the night's top scorer after bowling a turkey (three strikes in a row!).

Thanks to everyone who came along and made it such a fun evening!

The word "ergonomics" gets used a lot in office design. It usually ends up referring to a chair with more adjusters than anyone uses.

Real ergonomics is broader than that. It's about designing a workspace where the physical environment supports the cognitive work your team does.

That means:
→ The right desk heights for the tasks your people perform
→ Monitor positioning that prevents neck load over a full day
→ Acoustic environments that allow focused thinking without isolation
→ Lighting that reduces eye fatigue during screen-intensive work
→ Movement — designing in opportunities to change posture, not just sit differently

We love being part of our local community and sometimes that means rolling up our sleeves for the teams that need it most. When Otumoetai College's Barbarians rugby changing rooms needed bench seating, the school had materials but needed some manpower. As an existing partner, we knew we could help!

Our installation team built the frames, headed out, and fitted the benches in both rooms, in our time, and donated with pride. Now the team has proper seating, and we've got another reminder of why we do what we do: supporting the people and places that make our community strong!

Here’s a sneak peek at a recent project completed for Elim Church in Tauranga. At Modern Office, we don’t just create beautiful office spaces, we also help design warm, welcoming community environments that feel functional, connected, and inviting for the people using them.
