Styling Tip:

When selecting exterior paint colours for the outside walls of your home (as Spring us a good time to give the exterior a refresh)- test these on different facades/ sides of your home as the same colour looks different depending on if its the north side or the south side with the sun & shade coming into play! 🌞

Test a larger area than you think too! Using a large cardboard box rectangles lined up together is a good way to test your colours! Then you can simply move them to the others sides of your home before making a decision!

It’s taken nearly 10 years but my middle child Frankie now organises & declutters her room without me- she was working on two bedside drawers on her own this morning. Each year my girls and I have big clear outs of their rooms and wardrobes and donate many things in the lead up to their birthdays which coincides with a spring clean.

If you want some good decluttering motivation listen to Mel Robbins interview THE HOME EDIT ® in a recent podcast episode. It was so interesting, those ladies have such high energy and passion. A great listen- we just need to start small with tiny areas such as one drawer at a time. There is nothing more satisfying in my opinion than a good decluttering session! 💛💛💛

Did you see Millie Pidwell’s story from Murals by Millie this weekend in Sun? Millie is such a talented artist making our town more beautiful one mural at a time…!

I think this pool fence design is so exotic- what a way to transport you into feeling tranquil holiday at home vibes!

Murals by Millie have painted murals on 13 School’s & learning centres already, have completed larger designs such as the Papamoa Sports & Recreation Centre but also does custom home designs for indoor & outdoor spaces too 💚💙

A few of you have been asking… so I am excited to share with you our latest project we have been working on this year- renovating 4 units close to home in Otumoetai opposite the Bureta Countdown and backs onto the Otumoetai Golf Course. These little homes have undergone a huge transformation & I am really proud of the finished product.

They are ideal for down-sizers, retirees or first home buyers that want the convenience of all the local shops & parks within walking distance. This is the first of 4- the back one which backs onto the golf course!

They have just gone on the market with the dream team Bastin Group Andre Stewart Katia Beetham from Bower_

Styling tip: curves soften spaces!!! They break up hard linear lines. You don’t need to renovate it buy an expensive couch you can do it on a budget! Some ways to incorporate curves into your spaces are:

*round coffee tables
*curved chairs
*bowls
*side tables
*round tray
*round candles
*chopping boards in kitchens
*lampshades
*vases
*round bar stools
*a gooseneck tap
*sculptural items

I am a big fan of curves and am naturally drawn to them & I love the way THREE BIRDS RENOVATIONS use curves so I borrowed this image from them 🤎🧡
