“Guess what?! It’s been a pretty amazing but full on few days. On Thursday I was busted out of the pound, taken for desexing, then collected and chauffeured to my amazing foster home. Today, I left for my forever home where I can now finally relax, recover, take it all in and soak up the forever home vibes with my sisters Nova and Inka. 🥰 Thanks to everyone involved in my pound break. Life was looking pretty dim on Wednesday.”

Hey bestie, I’m Buffy!

I’m a gorgeous 7 year old Bichon Frise girl looking for a new family to love.

I’m a very affectionate, cuddly girl who loves my people. I enjoy my walks, trips to the beach, playing with my toys and having the occasional zoomie around. 🌊🧸💕

I’m friendly with most people, especially once I’ve had a little time to get to know you. I can be good with children, but I do need respectful kids who won’t tease me or overwhelm me. It can take me a little while to feel comfortable with new children.

I’m also social with small to medium-sized dogs and have experience going to doggy daycare and joining the Papamoa dog walking group. Im not good with cats sadly. I have been a one-person dog for most of my life, so finding the right doggy companion and home environment for me is important.

When I was a puppy, I was unfortunately injured by a farm dog. Because of this, I’m not particularly comfortable around large dogs, especially dogs I don’t know.

I have no naughty habits or medical needs. I’m desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and flea and worm treated. 🩷

I also love sleeping on the bed at night because, obviously, that’s where the important members of the household sleep! 😂

I’m a good little watchdog too. I have excellent hearing and will let you know when I think someone is around. 👀🐾

I’m looking for someone who will give me time to settle in, respect my boundaries and let me become your best friend at my own pace.

Most importantly, I want a home where I can be loved, included and spoiled for the rest of my life. ❤️

“He is doing so well. He had a good stay over with Judy and her husband and they said he is the easiest dog they’ve ever had in the house!

He had absolutely no issues with their resident dog, Tui. He’s been easy to walk with Wilson and Max and is honestly the cuddliest dog I’ve ever come across.

He’s a perfect boy.” 😍

And honestly… I couldn’t have said it better myself. 🥹

These are the updates that make my heart so happy. Watching a dog settle into a home, make friends, enjoy his walks and discover just how lovely life can be is exactly why I do what I do.
