Challenging project - a kitchen floor that had a peninsula island - then removed for kitchen makeover - floor needed to be;

- stripped back

- new flooring adding in to make missing floor whole again

- blending in by sand and reseal to match to existing floor in living room

Lot of work for a small cut out but worth it for the final outcome !👍😁

Really enjoyed undertaking this recently completed large Herringbone floor in a newly built extension, tricky as the far wall was built to follow the boundary so drifted inwards to the new doors so setting out was a critical.

Couple of challenging transitions to tiled floor with a nice wide oak threshold and some nice curves in the wall for the skirting to sit over !

Cliient asked me to drop round & see the finished rooms - I think everything comes together rather nicely 🙂

Had the opportunity to recommission a fairly rare piece of furniture recently - The Stag S series was only produced between 1960 - 63 and as such has become quite collectable - its always great to get the chance to work on items like this 👌

Sand & resealed - Oak Herringbone that needed a lift after many years of service, worn with rug marks- has come back like new and now compliments the new decor 👍 - finished with Bona Traffic water based varnish over a Bona Classic primer with satin finish.

Just completed a nice old (some of it very old) - floor restoration for a client that is carrying out a very sympathetic restoration on the whole property - finish is hard wax oil by Fiddes giving warm tones to the refinished floor - in keeping with age of the property & feel of the room.

Floor had black edging showing where original rug would have located, the original rug, thought to be Victorian, was found under layers of linoleum flooring on the upper floor ( it fits the original black edged square perfectly) and has been cleaned and will take pride of place when the floor has fully cured, love these history lessons I get at work 🙂
