M W Robinson Furniture is a bespoke maker of fitted and freestanding furniture. If you have and idea or just a space in home to make use of, get in touch.

Drawing from a number of years in the furniture and display industry, combined with a great passion for natural, sustainable materials means that I can offer furniture and home wares in any form that you desire. I use a combination of traditional and modern making techniques to provide robust furniture for everyday use. Great consideration is given to each and every project to ensure that all item

s leaving the wood-shop, work in real world situations giving the user a functional, long lasting product that will be around for generations to come. Simplicity is at the heart of my design methodology, many of the pieces I create do not feature decorative trim or embellishments as it is believed that the construction methods and natural beauty of the material should be allowed to shine through, forming the first chapter in the life of that particular item.

Bookcases bookcases bookcases. Just over 10m of them, laminate on birch. Looks fairly simple but I can tell ya they were a bitch to get right. Oh yeah customer asked for 25mm hole spacing for the adjustable shelf pins so right there is 3600 holes.

Constructed in ash boards with solid ash doors finished with liming wax and Osmo, we completed this kitchen in east London by Native North Architects as part of an extensive range of works to the property. The light here making the ash look lovely. Simple details, holes for the handles and extendable corner units to make use of all the space. Really satisfying this one.

Designed, made and installed a lovely large shelving display unit and bakery display case for Current Cafe in Spitalfields. Oak faced birch plywood finished with Morrell’s clear lacquer. We did an alternating back panel in there, lit up with LED lighting in the shelves. Lovely job.

A lovely bespoke walnut freestanding number with a colour matched wall panel to hide cables for the monster TV. Classic three drawers in the middle, two doors on the outside. Hidden handles that are apparently impossible to photograph in the solid walnut strips. Finished in Rubio Monocoat black. I like it a lot.

Just finished off this beaut of a kitchen. Lot of work went into it from the ground up, fitting classic pine flooring, a first for us. Super tall top cabinets to maximise storage in a small kitchen, birch ply faced with a combination Fenix NTM Verde Brac and Formica Glacier White. Nice bit of solid surface worktop supplied by .by.design. Plus a curved sink cabinet to allow space around the oak faced ply folding table. More to come on that one. Really nice working closely with to get a neat little design done. The transformation is unreal compared to what it looked like when I first walked in. A challenging, old mansion block.
