In 2001 we were trusted with the exclusive rights to manufacture and re-launch Finn Juhl’s sculptural and iconic furniture by Finn Juhl’s widow Hanne Wilhelm Hansen. Today the unique Finn Juhl collection consists of more than 40 classic masterpieces, all of which we manufacture with the utmost respect for the original heritage and strict demands for quality. For us, venturing into Finn Juhl’s design universe has been like embarking on a joyful journey with constant surprises in terms of shapes, aesthetics and unique design details.

When Finn Juhl presented the Television Chair in 1961, its distinctive cylindrical backrest immediately set it apart. Critics had long noted Finn Juhl’s tendency to follow a path of his own, and the Television Chair was no exception. Reactions were divided — from fascination to rejection.

More than six decades later, the Television Chair emerges anew.

A Love Letter Written in Furniture: The Launch of a Remarkable Bedroom Interior

In 1961, Finn Juhl presented a bedroom interior dedicated to his partner, Hanne Wilhelm Hansen. The colorful furniture series, comprising a bed, a lounge chair, a small table, and a glove cabinet, was originally presented at the Cabinetmakers’ Guild Exhibition and remains one of the most personal and unconventional projects of Finn Juhl’s career.

The relaunched bedroom interior will be exhibited at Triode Design in Paris. The exhibition opens on September 10 and will be on view through October 24, 2026.

The result was one of the clearest expressions of his constant drive for renewal — and a deeply personal story of love, creative freedom, and the courage to follow his own path.

This week, the series will return in Paris.

Each year, we source a carefully selected collection of Gotland sheepskin from its native Swedish island. When dressed in this material, the Pelican Chair’s expression is entirely defined by nature, giving each piece a unique and individual character. The texture of the sheepskin underscores the Pelican’s sculptural, almost animalistic form.

Each chair is hand-upholstered in Denmark, with legs available in oak, walnut, or a black-painted finish.
