House Schonberger showcases the beauty of minimalism in a bespoke kitchen designed for timeless elegance.

White gloss kitchen doors with handle-less gola detail pair seamlessly with Basalt black sintered stone countertops.

A warm oak box detail on the backsplash adds texture and subtle contrast. Shelving with inlaid soft LED lighting creates a statement display space and soft-close hardware ensures effortless operation for drawers and cabinets.

Select furniture from the completes the space: Umthi oak bar stools and the Instomi oak dining table bring warmth and cohesion to the monochrome palette.

A kitchen where minimalism meets functionality, and every detail is meticulously crafted.

This custom wine wall and serving station is a beautiful example.

Crafted from solid oak, the space combines practical wine storage with thoughtful design. Flat shelving allows bottles and accessories to be displayed, while the X-rack storage introduces rhythm and visual interest. Subtle mood lighting filters through the upper wine racks, creating warmth and atmosphere after dark.

The serving counter features the Moorland Fog surface from carried through from the kitchen to create continuity. Below, a solid oak slatted panel introduces texture, while the substantial oak bulkhead above frames and grounds the entire composition.

At House Virgalon, the kitchen was designed as a functional workspace and an architectural centrepiece.

This bespoke kitchen combines natural oak cabinetry with painted doors, creating a balance between warmth, texture and contemporary refinement.

A thick solid oak slab forms the seated section of the island, while a suspended oak slatted bulkhead with integrated lighting anchors the space above.

Every detail was carefully considered, from integrated appliances and soft-closing doors and drawers, to the built-in pizza oven positioned as part of the kitchen workflow itself.

Kitchen cabinets and backsplashes were sprayed in matt cashmere grey to tie in with the Caesarstone South Africa tops in Moorland fog.

At House Virgalon built an entire mood... from the statement kitchen island and cabinetry to bedroom nightstands, vanities, wardrobes, dressing tables, a studio kitchenette, bespoke bar, wine storage and integrated pizza oven cabinetry.

Warm natural oak cabinetry was paired with sprayed doors creating a soft, timeless palette that carries consistently throughout the residence, giving the home a calm sense of continuity and understated luxury.

This is the beauty of bespoke joinery, every room feels part of the same carefully considered story.

Defined by contrast and balance, this kitchen space brings together two complementary finishes: sleek, handle-free cabinetry from paired with the warmth of natural oak.

The island becomes the focal point, crafted in oak and anchored by a 20mm clamshell countertop, while the attached dining table and custom wine rack extend this material language.

A minimalist approach drives the design, with uninterrupted surfaces and oak recessed detailing replacing traditional handles — creating a kitchen that feels refined and quietly expressive.

Handcrafted kitchens don’t happen by accident.

From the handcrafted ash island, finished in a deep charcoal stain and topped with black Zimbabwean stone, to the subtle copper inlays that echo the statement extractor above… every element in this space was designed to speak to the next.

A bespoke underground wine library at the House of the Painted Dog

Crafted in oak, the cellar’s custom shelving responds to the needs of different wines and formats. Horizontal racks provide storage for aging and ready-to-drink bottles, while slanted display shelves present premium selections, secured with patinated copper bottle stop pins.

The cellar also invites guests to linger. A seating area sits alongside a bespoke oak kitchenette, fitted with an ice machine, dishwasher, glass storage, a display sink and cabinetry with black steel-framed doors and grey-tinted fluted glass.

Even the adjacent powder room continues the narrative, featuring a live-edge oak vanity that echoes the warmth and craftsmanship of the wine cave itself.
