Great fun and lots of learning at our October workshop and meeting day.

We had a great workshop/meeting day on October 6th…We meet at the EHC building on the first Tuesday of the month.

We had a lesson on stripping furniture. Mary Kay uses a solvent that seems gentle and isn’t noxious!

We also had members working on first zippers, first cushions, first welt cord, first upholstery sewing, first tying springs to burlap and first application of a front edge seat roll. We are all learning things together so it’s certainly not too late to join in our adventures.

All set up for the Garland County Fair.

First of two recliners completed. I love the silver dragonflies and all of the embroidered fabrics. The beautiful soft blue velvet seat and a little bit of Paris on the back. Each fabric makes me happy, so, why not? 😊

Another project driven to completion! This was a broken down chair that was going to be thrown away. A friend snagged it for me. After our August upholstery club meeting where we had a visit from Keith Williams, the furniture medic, she was taken apart, glued and clamped on every joint to make her strong again. Four fun fabrics later and a few coats of paint, now she’s feeling a little sassy!

My fraternal twins born a year apart are finally both finished! My shop is getting less crowded! My living room more crowded 😂
