🎉🏆 CELEBRATING OVER 30 YEARS OF BUSINESS EXCELLENCE 🏆🎉
Did you know the Manawatū Business Awards were first established in 1995 to recognise and celebrate the outstanding businesses that help our region thrive?

For more than three decades, these awards have showcased the innovation, resilience, leadership, and success stories that make Manawatū such a great place to do business.

From small start-ups to some of the region's largest employers, thousands of businesses have taken part in the awards journey over the years, creating a proud legacy of excellence.

As we look ahead to the Yorb Manawatū Business Awards 2026, we're excited to continue that tradition and celebrate the next generation of Manawatū success stories.

🩸 National Blood Donor Week | 8–14 June 2026 🩸

Did you know that one blood donation can help save up to three lives?

This National Blood Donor Week, the New Zealand Blood Service is encouraging workplaces, community groups, friends, and families to organise "Bloody Important Meetings" — a chance to donate blood together and make a real difference.

Blood donations are needed every day to support patients undergoing surgery, cancer treatment, emergency care, and more.

Why not gather a group from your workplace and turn your next meeting into something truly life-changing?

A small amount of your time could make a huge difference to someone else's future.

🩸 Give blood. Save lives.
❤️ Make it a Bloody Important Meeting.

🌱 Monday Motivation 🌱

“Success is not about being the best. It's about being better than you were yesterday.”

As we head into a new week, remember that progress doesn't always have to be dramatic. Sometimes the biggest wins come from solving a problem, helping a customer, supporting a colleague, or simply taking the next step forward.

Keep building, keep learning, and keep showing up.

Have a great week, Manawatū!

A warm Chamber welcome to the 600+ competitors, supporters and officials in Palmerston North for the 76th New Zealand Indoor Bowling National Championships. 🎳

Major events like this bring more than great competition to our city – they provide a valuable boost for local accommodation providers, cafés, restaurants, retailers and service businesses, while showcasing Palmerston North as a fantastic destination for future events.

We’re delighted to see so many visitors enjoying our city and contributing to our local economy throughout the week.

Best of luck to all competitors, and thank you for supporting our business community while you’re here.

🚨 Volunteers Needed – National Road Crash Rescue Competition 🚨

On behalf of the organisers of the UFBA National Road Crash Rescue Competition, which is being held in Palmerston North and Manfeild next week, volunteers are needed to act as patients in simulated crash and trauma scenarios.

📅 Thursday 11 June
⏰ 8.00am – 5.00pm

Volunteers play an important role in helping create realistic rescue scenarios for firefighters and emergency service personnel competing from around New Zealand.

This is a unique opportunity to support the emergency services, contribute to valuable training and competition scenarios, and see some of New Zealand's best rescue teams in action.

For more information about the role and requirements, please contact Events Coordinator Vanessa Langford directly:

🎨🚉 Congratulations to Feilding artist Joe Mcmenamin and KiwiRail 🚉🎨

What a fantastic addition to Palmerston North Station.

The new murals bring colour, character, and a strong sense of place to this important transport hub, celebrating our region’s native flora and fauna while reinforcing rail safety messages.

A wonderful example of how art can enhance public spaces and create a more welcoming experience for visitors and locals alike.

Well done to Joe and the KiwiRail team for bringing this project to life. We hope travellers enjoy these murals for many years to come.

📊 Are You a Local Business Owner?

Have your say on the future of business in the Manawatū.

If you own, operate, or help lead a business in our region, we want to hear from you.

The Manawatū Business Sentiment Survey is your opportunity to share what's really happening in your business — what's working, what's challenging, and where you see the biggest opportunities ahead.

Your feedback will help:
✔ Identify key business challenges and opportunities across the region
✔ Inform advocacy with local and central government
✔ Shape initiatives that help businesses grow and thrive

The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete and is a partnership between CEDA and the Manawatū Business Chamber, with responses collected anonymously by an independent provider.

Your voice matters. The stronger the response, the stronger the case we can make for the issues that matter to local businesses.

👉 Complete the survey today.
