"They're the coolest walkers I've ever seen!" 😄

That was one of the first comments from two of our team after visiting mobility providers in Auckland last week.

The range of mobility aids available today is incredible. From stylish walkers to innovative products designed to support independence, there's a lot more choice than many people realise.

They also managed to fit in a few Auckland sights while they were there!

**We're curious — what piece of equipment couldn't you live without?

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Jessica from Eldernet to our training centre. It was great showing her around our simulated environments and giving her a look at how we bring real‑world scenarios to life for our learners.

Eldernet plays such an important role in supporting older people, their families, and the aged‑care sector with reliable information and services across Aotearoa. We loved having Jessica here and exploring how our work connects.

Thanks for visiting, Jessica — come back anytime!

"The oft-quoted $10,000 cost for a funeral is out of whack with reality-- a survey of typical funeral home prices published in the 2026 Funeral Industry Trends Report this week shows a full cremation costs an average $11,700, and can range from $10,000 to $13,900 across the country. By contrast, the average burial costs $14,300, ranging from $12,800 to $17,000."

People think the average cost of a funeral is $10,000 - but a new survey shows that's way off the mark and won't even cover a modest service
