A superb mid-19th century French gueridon table, c.1840, constructed in walnut and beautifully bleached to reveal the attractive grain and warm natural tones. The striking grey and white veined marble top sits above a figured walnut frieze, raised on a richly carved central pedestal with bead and leaf decoration, terminating in three bold scrolling feet. The stylish oak case has a beautiful colour and contrasting cross banding , resulting in a beautiful and good quality Longcase clock .
