Steve, our Town Ranger and Street Operative has been making the most of the lovely weather, cleaning streets, as well as washing street furniture, and repairing and painting benches. Steve is always grateful for your kind comments when he is out and about, and we do appreciate them, so don't forget to say hi when you see him.

The plants are settling in well now Summer is here. As you can see, the Petunia Ultra Stars are putting on a fine display next to, and contrasted by, the Blue Lobelia. This photo is taken at Market Street corner in Malton. A big thank you to Gillian our waterer for keeping on top of the watering in this blistering weather.

Another splendid day with the Malton in Bloom volunteers, this time planting up Wheelgate, Old Maltongate, Yorkersgate and Castlegate. Oh and enjoying a rest moment too!

Really lovely day with the Malton in Bloom volunteers. We have planted The Mount corner, Horsemarket Road, the War Memorial and Castle Howard Road corner today. Here are a few pictures.

We are all ready. Malton in Bloom plant stall, Market Place, Malton (St Michaels Church side). Lots of interesting plants. See you tomorrow from 10pm.

Malton in Bloom will have its first plant stall of the year at the Little Bird Made Market, outside St Michaels Church, Market Place, on Saturday 23rd May. The weather looks good so come say hi to the team and buy a plant. The market will be trading from 10am to 3pm. Malton in Bloom will have a wide selection of plants from annuals, perennials, herbs and vegetables. See you there.

Most enjoyable day today with the Malton in bloom volunteers planting the Broughton Rise roundabout, the horse track, the planters at Newbiggin Top and the Pasture Lane roundabout. More planting to come next week.

Brave Malton in Bloom volunteers faced the elements today, but the rain held off in the main, and we managed to get the Market Place planted up. Thank you volunteers. Next up - Thursday, we will be planting the roundabouts and the horse sculpture.
