This is a small independent furniture design company, specialising in upholstery and up-cycling vintage furniture. Some tips on making cap arms from scratch. You don’t have to always follow what was done before, sometimes to can improve things. Don’t be a sheep….follow your instincts and if you think you can improve something then do it!

A wood finishing weekend with Ollie. Ollie came all the way from the Cotswolds to teach this here. He came with a lot of kit and even more knowledge. Everyone worked really hard and learnt lots. There’s more footage of this to come… 😊

A modern recover. Everyone seems to love a box pleat panel these days, I’ve done 3 in the last 2 weeks…. Neatness and precision sewing is key! 👍🙌… Next on the bench is a big modern armchair…

An armchair gets a totally new look… I fell in love with a fabric and then just had to use it on something and this seemed like a great pairing for it. Fresh natural linen and white floral quilt looking back… A perfect floordrobe/bedroom chair 🤔🤣

A caning weekend course, taught by the lovely and super talented Sonia White.
I’m in awe of people who have the patience for this…❤️💪… Everyone did really well and I occasionally brought them words of encouragement and cups of tea so my part was very small….🫣🤣…
A huge thank you to Sonia for coming all the way to our studio in Cornwall and congratulations to all the students who came along and learnt this amazing craft… My current and future love of cane furniture depends on you…
