Had a really good response about the shut the box game with two other commissions made from oak, one for the Bee Hive in Helston and another for a pub in Dorset.
The first pictures show the finished pieces but I have included photos of the process of building the games from oak planks to the finished pieces.
The top is easily detached from the base to place on a coffee table.
Should the beige need replacing the top with the keys is easily detached by removing eight screws giving access to renew the beige.

Shut the box game made from mango wood installed in the Red Lion in Helston.

Removable benches for seating and sleeping to convert van into a camper van. Slots cut into the tops to reduce weight. Plenty of storage and when foam is cut to size a comfortable double bed. Can seat five comfortably with center top removed.

Set of planters for the front drive and path and rear garden for recycling storage, small planter and trellis. The front has a steep incline between the drive and path so I installed a frame to level the planters and strong enough to take the weight of the filled planters.

Really enjoyed the restoration of a Georgian ladder backed rush seat arm chair. The chair was broken due to wood worm and the bottom front rail was missing. The chair was covered in random splashes of paint and generally worse for wear.
I made a new front rail stained and painted to match the other rails. I also made a new front seat support and removed dirt and old splashed paint from various places on the chair.
I used animal glue for the joints to enable easy restoration in future and after cleaning applied a good layer of bees wax polish. The new rush seat will be completed by a rush seating expert.

Guinea pig palace built to clients specifications utilising existing bottom tray. Wood treated with pet safe preserving stain. Outside hatch provided for future access to grass run. Hatch provided to separate top and bottom spaces to keep guinea pig safely isolated whilst cleaning spaces.

Latest project. Custom cupboard to fit a space with tulip hardwood for the frame ensuring stability and strength. The cupboard is painted with Dulux Natural Calico and the top is solid oak, treated with Danish Oil and bees wax polish. The client is adding their own k***s.

Ambry for storing Holy Oil in church made from Oak and finished with Danish Oil and bees wax.
Height is only 30cm so joints are quite intricate and took some time to complete.
