…but wow is it worth it!

As well as refinishing all parts in 2k waterbased PU, we deleted a few intricacies from the design and replaced the handles to bring this high quality kitchen back to life.

It’s difficult to capture on camera quite how glassy smooth this Osmo is…

Sprayed this way it lays down like a lacquer and dries to a silky smooth, low sheen coating.

It really does is beautiful and so over coming months we are going to be doing a few more projects this way…

…this week it’s these gorgeous kitchen cabinets.

A deep clean, thorough sand and finally recoating in the booth with Osmo Spray Wax and our brilliant 3M performance 2.0 spraygun.

Close on 30 years old and still stunning in this lovely low sheen and super durable finish.

It’s all about the primer…

After careful but thorough preparation of a piece for refinishing, the application of primer plays a fundamental role in the re-coating process.

Not only does primer help subsequent products to adhere properly to the surface, it also:

- “locks in” old coating residues,
- provides a “body” of coating that can be flatted to smooth out unwanted imperfections in the surface
- lays down an even colour base for the new tint/s above.

In short, primer is the foundation of a full refinish!
