Looking for a new home!

A coffee table made from a section of Suffolk Oak which had been buried along the coast for many years. Dug up, carefully dried and turned into a one off coffee table.

Super clear 12mm toughened glass top allows you to see the amazing character this log has.

5ft long and 2’4” wide.

Designed by Robert Williams of Pearl Dot for our local Bishop and made of Oak from the Haughley Park estate. It was a pleasure to make this for a very nice chap who had designs in the textbook I had to buy whilst at college studying cabinet making! Robert is quite famous for his plank back chair in particular!

My biggest job of last year was this lovely Oak Victorian styled bookcase with library ladder and aged brass fixings. 500 hours of work went into this one project including design, making, finishing and installing. Again, following on from my previous post. This is the final iteration from my original ‘Woven’ unit. Made from local Elm and Walnut. It’s been fun tweaking the design a few times over the years! As usual more photos and info on my website.

Following on from my previous post, the lovely lady that bought my ‘woven unit’ later commissioned another iteration. This time made from Brown Oak to match a bed she already had. A pair of bedside side cabinets was made too.

Following on from my previous post this was the ‘OG’ Woven unit, made from Black Walnut and hand stitched leather. A few iterations have followed over the years, I’ll post those in due course.
