When space allows, a walk-in pantry is nothing short of life-enhancing as a dedicated zone for storage and for keepingkitchen essentials concealed but within easy reach. Bespoke cabinetry and glazed partitions can elevate it to another level altogether, as our showpiece pantry in a Victorian home in Bedforshire shows. Designed in collaboration with it’s hard to believe this light, bright and brilliantly organised area was once a garden storage cupboard. Along with its handcrafted timber shelves, the inclusion of a discreet sink and an undercounter icemaker (kept niftily behind a curtain) makes it perfect for its secondary function as a well-appointed bar!

Considered details abound in every nook and corner of this delightful kitchen, designed to complement the Victorian character of a Wanstead home. Created in collaboration with the very talented Laura and Emily from for a household of cooks, it’s as functional as it’s refined.

Old-school and new meet in its dual cooking stations, with an AGA range taking pride of place in its bespoke surround. Ceiling-height wall cabinets combine Shaker lines with curving cupboard brackets, balancing pops of colour with the translucence of glass. Texture abounds, from the rugged floor to the Carrara marble work surfaces. Period features like vent cutouts, tongue-and-groove backsplashes and the daintiest patterned tiles add to the playful charm of this wonderful room.

Natural light fills this Victorian home in the county of Bedfordshire, where we worked closely with to design a kitchen that fits seamlessly into our clients’ daily life. A considered and characterful space that it is as playful as it’s practical.

Bespoke design elements bring it all together, from the Shaker detail on our hand-painted cabinets to the space-saving functionality of customised pocket doors on a countertop cupboard, carved plinths to bullnose-edged shelves. Add to this cool flourishes of marble (not one kind but two) against the perfect neutral palette, all the better to show off a collection of copper pots and gleaming La Cornue range.

Conceived in collaboration with our bespoke kitchen for star landscape designer is a matchless meeting of aesthetics and functionality, suited for entertaining and everyday enjoyment. A natural extension of the living spaces in this beautiful home, it’s also a perfect reflection of its owner’s unique style and character.

And what better colour scheme than a deep leafy green to complement the plaster pink of our hand-painted Shaker cabinetry? The focus on low-level design rather than runs of tall or boxy wall cabinets gives the kitchen its distinctive spacious feel, foregrounding the curated open shelf displays and striking tiled splashback. Likewise, glass doors on the dresser enhance the overall sense of lightness in the open-plan room. The practical kicker? Base cabinets along the wall run and the island do more of the hard work, with maximum storage in deep drawers with special pullout components and cupboards. Now you see it, now you don’t.

What brings balance to a kitchen? It goes beyond symmetry, the perfect ratio of tall to low-level cabinets, and the ergonomic flow between prep, cooking and cleaning stations.

In our Portobello Road kitchen, it’s also to be found in the pairing of clean lines and organic curves, and the considered use of materials: our hand-painted bespoke joinery, the refined detail of the stained oak island and the quiet beauty of the Crema Delicato stone worktops.

At the centre of the room, the island accommodates the dishwasher, bin, deep drawers and, not least of all, a comfortable spot to perch.

Set in the heart of Somerset, this classic and versatile kitchen is as cosy as you’d expect in a country home but with a timeless modern feel.

Things we love: its warm neutral colour palette, combining the pale tones of our hand-painted cabinetry with oak and rustic aged brass. The waterfall edge of the marble-topped island. The beautiful range of textures, from the hand-crafted look of the tiles to the tongue-and-groove panelling.

Not least of all, it’s the plentiful work surfaces and space to sit together or get involved in the prep. Where better to be spending a weekend in?
