The KS1 Chair, designed by Danish designer and cabinetmaker Kasper Salto, focuses on longevity and minimal environmental impact. It is produced at OneCollection’s workshop in Vejen, Denmark, combining craftsmanship with durable materials such as FSC-certified oak, beech, or ash, and webbing made from 90% recycled cotton in black or natural tones.

In 2013, the Trusteeship Council Chamber at the United Nations Headquarters in New York was inaugurated following an extensive renovation. As part of the restoration, OneCollection / House of Finn Juhl contributed new Finn Juhl FJ 51 chairs, as well as tables and secretary chairs designed by Kasper Salto and Thomas Sigsgaard, known as the Council Series. Today, the Council Series is a permanent part of the OneCollection collection.

Conceived as a Gesamtkunstwerk, Finn Juhl designed the chamber in 1952 as a complete interior, bringing architecture, furniture, materials, and colors together as one, and the project brought Danish design to one of the world’s most important stages.

The warm colors and wooden ceiling structure create a festive contrast to the monumental architecture of the UN building. The project became a milestone in his career and helped introduce Danish Modern to an international audience.

In 1958, architect Knud Friis — one half of Friis & Moltke — designed a raw concrete Brutalist villa for his family. The house was later expanded in 1970, followed by the introduction of the Nordsø Table in 1976.
