Garry McLaughlin, French Polisher - Garry is a qualified craftsm

an, awarded 1988 Leading Apprentice of the year. Commencing his trade over 38 years ago, he has vast experience in the furniture construction and restoration industry. Working in all facets of the industry, Garry has experience with office furniture on a modern production line, quality antique reproduction, through to practising the true craft of hand polishing in antique restoration. Tara McLaughlin, French Polisher - Bachelor in Hertiage Conservation and Museums. Tara is a qualified French Polisher, award furniture finisher of year NSW 2020. She completed her Bachelor in Hertiage Conservation and Museums in 2021 and is a qualified conservator and currently completing her trade in cabinet making. She has a passion for antiques and Collectables, especially Retro! Caine Gough, French Polisher -
Caine is a valuable part of the team,!commencing his Apprenticeship in 2015. He is a qualified craftsman and is currently completing his second trade in cabinet making. He loves all things old and continues to hone his trade skills and develop his craft

Part two of the restoration of this carved desk!

This Mid Century coffee table had a home job restoration, as you can see the veneer didn’t fair to well. Our client has brought it to us to fix it up.
Tara has started to grain in the sand throughs before we polish top, she uses a range of earth pigments and shellac to make up a range of colours to grain in the sand throughs. These will be ready to head home next week - stay tuned!

Check out this five leaf Danish extension table! It goes down to a 1.1 meter round table and extends to 3.3 meters - pretty impressive 👌

Have you got old family piece that just don’t suit your house, but really want to keep it? Our client had just that issue.
We worked with her to design and make a hall table from the old family table.
We were able to keep patina in the top from decades of family dinners. We have traditionally polished the hall table in shallac, giving it a stunning soft glow!
