Last weeks presentations in Queensland with our partner Ilan from Ilanel. It was fantastic to see the smiles on designers’ faces as we shared a snippet of what we provide.

Designed and handcrafted in Melbourne, the Snowball pairs a textured, mouth-blown glass globe with a clean, metallic shroud. Whether lined along a corridor to bring warmth to a commercial space or set as an architectural bedside accent, it casts a soft, diffused glow that transforms quiet architectural corners.

It’s been a busy week presenting all our new lighting collections, topped off by showcasing the incredible Light Art alongside my great friend Ilan.

“I wanted to capture the idea of slow art—something that makes you slow down and just bathe yourself in colour.”

During the COVID lockdowns, restricted to a 5 km radius of St-Kilda beach, Ilan spent hours taking photos of sunrise and sunset. He wanted to take those captured moments further by combining them with his passion for light and interactive technology.

The result is Lightart—an interactive series where each panel changes through millions of subtle colour hues. Even though the image itself is completely static, as the spectrum shifts, your brain tricks you into seeing the water actually move.
