There is something powerful about women stepping into leadership in agriculture, not just in the fields, but in the rooms where decisions are made.
As Women in Agriculture Union (WAU), we continue to see that real transformation happens when women are not only participants, but leaders, influencers, and policy shapers in the agricultural space. Our voices matter. Our experiences matter. And when we take up space, we shift systems.
We were privileged to host Sakhile Sifelani-Ngoma, Executive Director of the Women in Politics Support Unit (WIPSU), who shared insightful perspectives on the critical link between women’s leadership and policy impact in agriculture.
Her message was clear - empowering women in agriculture goes beyond production. It is about ensuring women are represented where policies are crafted, resources are allocated, and the future of agriculture is shaped.
As WAU, we remain rooted in building confident, informed, and empowered women who are ready to lead, influence, and transform agriculture in Zimbabwe.
