Join our Principal Interior Designer, Terence Springer, as he takes us behind the scenes during the installation of this custom Bi-Dsign bedroom suite. 🖤
Everything you see began with our client’s brief and was developed from concept through production, delivery and installation by our team.
Before anyone says it: this is not the finished reveal!
The bed has not been made, the room has not been decorated and the soft furnishings are still to come. Terence is also completing a pair of custom-made, hand-painted pedestals for the room.
But the hardest work is done—and we cannot wait to show you the completed space!
So, what exactly is Bi-Dsign?
Bi-Dsign is the in-house manufacturing entity and production factory behind Then & Now Interiors.
Then & Now Interiors works directly with each client to understand their needs, develop the concept, design the space, select the materials and finishes, manage the project, complete the installation and bring everything together through final styling.
Bi-Dsign brings those designs to life. It manufactures and produces all the bespoke furniture, upholstery, handcrafted pieces and other custom-made requirements needed for Then & Now Interiors projects.
Simply put:
Then & Now Interiors designs it.
Bi-Dsign makes it.
Together, our team completes it.
This project marks an important first for us: a complete turnkey bedroom solution designed, cut, handmade, delivered and installed entirely through our own in-house capabilities.
Interior designers do not physically manufacture every component of a project. They traditionally rely on trusted carpenters, upholsterers, artisans, manufacturers and installers to bring their designs to life.
The quality and reliability of those relationships can either build or damage an interior designer’s reputation.
After years of inconsistent workmanship, delays, hidden costs and endless excuses, we decided to take greater responsibility for the entire process.
No more cowboy carpentry.
No more unreliable upholstery.
No more late artisans.
No more hidden costs and stories.
Through Bi-Dsign, we now have greater control over the quality, cost, production and delivery of every custom-made piece created for a Then & Now Interiors client.
Under the creative direction of Terence Springer, our team brings years of experience designing original furniture ranges and fitting every kind of home—from presidential and royal residences to Africa’s elite and everyday Southern Africans.
That experience has taught us that successful interior design always begins with listening.
A full turnkey solution is more than a transaction. It is a personal relationship that should last a lifetime.
Finding the right interior designer—someone who genuinely understands you, your needs and the way you live—can save you time, energy, money and years of discomfort.
Terence calls this home his “Crown Jewel” of Huhudi.
Over the years, we have listened carefully to our clients. The best way to lower the cost of living beautifully and comfortably is surprisingly simple: go old school.
Make things solidly.
Work with integrity.
Use the best materials and fabrics available.
Build every piece by hand and with purpose.
For this project, we had to bring everything to the heart of Southern Africa. Our dedicated carpentry and upholstery production facilities are finally open and ready to manufacture for Then & Now Interiors clientele.
Quality materials and specialist manufacturing are extremely limited in Vryburg, with standard board furniture often being the only readily available option.
LET’S CHANGE THAT.
Follow along as Terence Springer and the team create new pieces, face the realities of manufacturing in a town situated hundreds of kilometers from many quality materials, and show what can be achieved right here in Vryburg.
Our goal is simple: to make gorgeous, comfortable and individually designed living affordable again.
Let’s design your spaces. 🌍
“By Loving Yourself.”
