Joubert en Seuns is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee HR functions, payroll, compliance, employee relations, and more for our multi-company environment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
โ Pastel Payroll for 3 companies with total employee compliment of approximately 500, including payment of all wages and salaries from HR bank account, and administration of employee Provident Fund.
โ Ensuring Compensation Commissioner (FEM) submissions & documentation is done.
โ Administration of all employee files for 3 companies, conducting interviews for new staff, setting up and explaining of employment contracts for all staff, annual & sick leave, etc.
โ Liaise regularly with managers of various departments concerning performance of employees, and ensuring that staff numbers are adequate for operational requirements of all departments.
โ Arranging disciplinary hearings with a selected impartial Chairman, managers & employees; chairing of ill-health hearings, disciplinary enquiries, grievance procedures and administration thereof.
โ Manage and attend all CCMA conciliations & arbitrations.
โ All other labour-related tasks which includes seeing staff on a regular basis to discuss company policies and procedures, answer queries, deal with personal problems of staff and act as mediator with regards to interdepartmental issues, and finding solutions for smooth interaction between departments.
โ Vetting of labour contractors to ensure all legal documentation is in place (registered for UIF, Compensation, tax clearance, etc), and signing relevant contract with company.
โ Ensure that Health & Safety standards are implemented and SHE reps and committees are set up and are functioning optimally. Liaise regularly with managers to ensure policies are implemented and to institute strategies to constantly decrease number of IODโs.
โ Manage all Statutory compliance such as Employment Equity, Skills Development and BCEA.
โ Collective bargaining with unions & hold intermittent meetings with shop stewards and unions.
โ Facilitating retrenchments.
โ Qualification an added advantage
โ Knowledge of Local Regulations
โ Minimum 3-5 yearsโ experience
โ Ability to work under pressure
โ Strong communication & interpersonal skills
