Today is a special day for us.
10 years ago, on April 1st 2016 — and we promise this isn’t an April Fools thing — Timbur Furniture stopped being a side hustle run by a sales rep with a sander and a jigsaw, and became a real, breathing South African business.
We’re still a modestly sized team. But over the last 10 years, we’ve built furniture for thousands of South African homes.
And here’s what we want you to know: every single order has had a name on it. Yours.
From the moment you placed your order, your name traveled alongside your furniture — through planning, production, quality control, and delivery. Our team says it out loud more times than you’d think. It’s not an order number to us. It’s your bedside table, your sideboard, your coffee table. Built specifically for you.
We know waiting for furniture isn’t always easy. But waiting for YOUR furniture? That’s always worth it.
