Apprenticeship - Foundry Pattern Maker : 1978 - 1982 @ Vecor (Dorbyl Heavy Engineering )VDBL. Worked there as a Pattern Maker & Pattern Inspector till Oct 1989. Relocated to King Willia

m's Town & worked at Dimbaza Foundries as a Pattern Maker till June 1996. Apr 2004 - July 2006- Retrenched. Worked from home - manufactured plugs for the fibreglass & concrete products industry, templates for the motor industry, upmarket home furniture, custom built wood strip canoes, built in cupboards, shop fittings & hardwood items for gift shop. July 2006 -Dec 2011 employed Dimbaza Foundries /Scaw Metals as Patternshop Leading Hand. Dimbaza Foundries closed its doors & retrenched all workers in Dec 2011. I Have been self employed since. Designed & built Ply Panel Kayaks, CNC carvings, home & garden furniture, built in cupboards and manufactured plugs for fibreglass industry.

Tiny order = Big Challenges.
Managed to cut these figures out on my bandsaw using a 16 mm wide blade x 4tpi, which was far from ideal.
Bronwynn - 125 mm high
Phoenix - 116 mm high.
