Assembling
First the armrest covers, then the seat cover.
Attach base to reclining mechanism and reattach lever.
Fit backrest to frame.
Assemble wings and attach to backrest.
Slide in place....

Further to the previous post, after patterning and creating the mattress covers for my brother's yacht, we moved on to the Saloon Seat Cushion Covers.
Well, this was no easy task. He had altered the shape of the L-suite from a round to a square so the entire design of the Seat Cushion Covers had to change. The original seat covers which he brought with him were useful in understanding the basic patterning... he also supplied the exact measurements of the new layout.
We both learnt a lot about patterning the different pieces, He ha bought foam in the correct thicknesses and we proceeded to pattern and sew each piece of the covers for the suite step by step...
In 9 days we managed to complete the project. The pics do not justify the complete view as he will be cutting the foam to fill each piece in the BVI... in time I will add the pics of the final product.
I am most grateful for the SGGEMSY Industrial Walking Foot which he bought for me to be able to do this project. Without this industrial marvel i would not have been able to do this project. Much gratitude for this awesome gift...
Thank you to my darling Brother for the gift of the Industrial Sewing Machine and especially for the gift of doing this project with you... the three weeks we spent working closely together creating the mattress and seat covers was absolutely amazing... it was so special to spend that time so intensely with you.... Thank you, and I love you...

My brother arrives in RSA from the BVI... he salvaged a yacht from a hurricane and is in the finale stages of restoring it to its former grandeur. He arrive with a rough sketch on paper, a few pics and a couple of videos on his cellular device... HELP?!?!?!? Much gratitude for the the fact that he worked with me to create the patterns required to make the eight mattress covers for his yacht... the pics attached are of the process making the covers... in a couple of months I hope to update this post with the final installation on the yacht. As he could not bring the foam mattresses with him on the flight, foam was bought in RSA to reconstruct the mattresses for the patterning along with his drawings, pics and videos.... me think we did very good! Thank you Boet (my Brother) for an interesting challenge... however, the mattress covers where a mild prelude to what was to come with the Seat Covers...
