Ah the recliner, the chair that my staff have mixed feelings about, as each recliner is a different character (some easy to upholster and others challenging). It's a very technical chair to upholster , the cutting of the fabric actually looks like a puzzle when all cut.( I'll definitely do a post on the next recliners we doing on the process on how we do them, just for fun.)

It's like recliner season as we seem to be doing them monthly since start of the year. I welcome each set or single recliner as the more we do, the more we master them. My staff honestly pour alot of time and love into them.

My clients really enjoy them and most the recliners have a story (family history or how old the set is), which I love hearing about, as buying a new set is gastly expansive so to upholster is often the more affordable way.

Part of upholstery is carpentry. Although it's a different skill set, it does go hand in hand. Yesterday we delivered this set we made and I'm greatful for a happy client.

We made this bed base set for the mattress to 'drop in' and made headboard to mount to the wall. My client chose fabric from my Bartlette and Dunster swatch, a good quality fabric that is so nice to upholster with.

This set went home on Friday and my client deserves a huge Kudos for how she has styled her home with this new look. We used a quality high grade leather grain fabric and changed the pattern of the chair.
