Dumelang People of Clarens.
We would like to introduce ourselves.

We are Shokgwa Emmanuel Mokoena, but I prefer Festival, and
James Malekgase Ncala. We are the proud owners of Amazing Clarens & Eastern Free State Tours.

Both of us were born on farms close to Clarens and we matriculated at Moriting wa thuto senior secondary school in 2011.
After school James worked in the construction industry and I applied myself to further studies. (Child and Youth care worker NQF LEVEL 4 & Leadership skills NQF LEVEL 4)

We met Mr George van Der Merwe while attending a camp,
“HOW TO CHASE YOUR VISION”, and this changed our lives forever. This wonderful man found sponsorships for us to complete our tour guide training through CATHSSETA. For the next few years he supported, mentored, and motivated us. Mostly he showed love and care for two kids that had big dreams.

In October 2019, we registered our company and we just got going when Covid 19 hit. Like so many other businesses in the tourism industry we could not carry on and both of us found other ways to
support ourselves and our family’s.
Mr George once again made an impact on our lives when he introduced us to our amazing new mother, Brenda from Leisure Excursions. She assisted us with a business plan, spending many hours in explaining what is required, budgets and so many other aspects of business that we were not familiar with.

She agreed to partner with us for the next 3 years to ensure we can achieve our goals to become independent, successful business owners.
We have opened our office between Old Stone Blue Bottle Liquor and Mosaic restaurant. We would like to act as an “Info Centre” for all Clarens businesses and kindly request that you bring us any pamphlets or other marketing material that will help us to promote your business.

We are busy compiling an audiovisual presentation of accommodation outlets, retails shops and other activities in and around Clarens that we will play on the TV in the office. Please feel free to bring this to us and at the same time, we would love to meet you.
