A little story about myself. Born on the Cape Flats, exposed to so many things in life that most people only read about. Positive influence was lacking from adults to peers. So like many young kids growing up on the flats bad influences were at every turn. I was a bright student in primary school, but when high school hit the script flipped. Long story short, I left high school midway. Like most young flats schooleavers we ended up on a construction site. I started in the woodwork industry as a cleaner. Cleaning cupboards preparing them for site installation. Realizing that my future didn't look bright, I had to make a decision. I would either take this as an opportunity to learn a trade and build from there. I started developing a real attraction to this craft. I then stuck my head and eyes into to learn as much as I could. I quickly learned I had an eye for the details. Iv been self employed for 15 years now, with a combined 24 years in the industry. My whole point of this story is. Iv worked for so many builders and project management companies, but now I find myself tired of this appreciating cycle. To all Architects, designers out there. I'm seeking an opportunity to work for people who can appreciate my passion for what I can create. I thrive on seeing the glare in someone's eyes when they can physically see what was once on paper now a reality. My reward is "Thank you for all your hard work, Thank you for putting so much effort in the detail". A client once said to me on the completion of a kitchen, " I thank you for taking so much personal care of my dream"
