That’s where I work.

Most hospitality properties don’t need a bigger marketing budget.

They need a better guest experience.

After 20+ years in interior design, I’ve learned that guests remember how a property made them feel long after they’ve forgotten how it looked.

I help hospitality properties identify, design and implement better guest experiences through audits, interior design and refurbishment.

Because exceptional guest experiences are designed — not discovered.

Confessions of a Luxury Curator 08 —
The Missing Scent Story

Scent is often the first impression guests never consciously notice — but always remember.

Before they’ve unpacked, before they’ve slept in the bed, before they’ve tasted the food, they’ve already felt something about your property.

A thoughtfully curated fragrance creates emotion, memory, comfort and a sense of place.

Without it, you’re missing one of the most powerful tools in the guest experience.

Beautiful bedroom transformation.. what a sanctuary!!!….
Right on time for a loooong weekend …

After 20 years of creating beautiful spaces and places, I’m also stepping out from only behind the scenes….

For years, I was the person behind the scenes.
The one measuring, sourcing, installing, styling, and making sure every detail came together.

Creating beautiful spaces was the beginning. Curating unforgettable experiences is now also part of the next chapter…

Combining interior design, hospitality, luxury property, and global travel into one purpose:

Helping owners understand not just how their property looks…

But how it feels.

Because guests remember experiences long after they’ve forgotten the décor.

CONFESSIONS OF A LUXURY CURATOR # 07 The Hidden Dust Test

Luxury guests don’t experience your property the way you do.

They notice the places you’ve stopped seeing.

The top of a wardrobe.
Behind a bedside table.
A skirting board in morning light.

Not because they’re looking for faults.

Because every detail quietly communicates a standard.

The reality is that guests rarely separate cleanliness from quality.

One overlooked surface can subconsciously influence how they perceive the room, the housekeeping, the maintenance, and ultimately the value of their stay.

The question isn’t whether the room looks clean.

It’s whether it still looks clean in the places nobody thought to check.

Every detail tells a guest how much they matter.

Loved this styling and table setting — simple, intentional and quietly detailed in a way that feels completely true to their brand.

Confessions of a Luxury Curator 06 -
Style Over Comfort.

A chair that looks beautiful but can’t be sat in for more than ten minutes.

Furniture that prioritises aesthetics over the body sends a quiet message to your guests: you were considered as a visual element, not as a person.

The most memorable luxury properties get this right. The room looks stunning — and it feels even better to be in. That is not an accident. It is a deliberate choice to design for the guest experience, not the photoshoot.

This is one of the things I look for during a SUD Studio Immersion Audit. Not just what the space looks like — but what it feels like to actually live in it, even for one night.

Beautiful marketing gets the booking.

The actual experience gets the review.

Luxury hospitality invests in interiors, staff training, housekeeping, photography, influencer marketing and guest acquisition — but one thing is often overlooked:

What does the stay actually feel like once the guest arrives?

Because guests don’t remember thread count.

They remember:
• whether they slept well
• if the lighting felt calming or clinical
• whether the room flowed effortlessly
• the details that made them exhale… or quietly frustrate them

A harsh bedside light.
A shower that takes too long to warm up.
An uncomfortable chair.
The feeling that something looked beautiful — but didn’t feel effortless.

Luxury lives (or dies) in the invisible details.

Through the SUD Studio Immersion Audit, I assess boutique hotels, guesthouses, wine estates, luxury Airbnbs and experience-led properties through the lens of a real guest — identifying the friction points that quietly shape reviews, repeat bookings and perceived luxury.

Because visuals sell the room.

The lived experience sells the return stay.
