💙🌍When you see a learner with an L sticker, expect the following;

1 He/she might do the unexpected.

2 Expect emergency brakes.
3 He/she might be too slow on the road.

4 He/she might forget to indicate.
5 Being on the wrong lane all the time.

Solution/ Conclusion
1 Keep distance.
2 Don't hoot at them because they might panic and apply emergency brakes.

3 Support them and don't throw hands or shout at them showing them how they are wasting your time while on the road.

WINDOWS DOWN VS. AIR CONDITIONER: WHICH IS MORE EFFICIENT?

The debate over whether driving with windows down or the air conditioner is more fuel efficient is as old as the day AC was invented. But truthfully, neither options are all that great for your vehicle’s efficiency.

Driving with your windows down decreases the aerodynamics and increases the drag, which slows down the vehicle. But driving with the AC puts more stress on the engine. Either way, your vehicle is going to need more fuel to run. The trick is figuring out when to use which option and using them correctly.

Driving With Windows Down

The best time to drive with the windows down is on city streets and suburban roads. On these roads, the speed limit is normally under 45km/ per hour. This is important because a slower speed means less air resistance, which leads to more fuel-efficient travel.

Driving With Air Conditioner On

On the contrary, the best time to drive with the air conditioner is on highways. Rolling yourwindows down at such high speeds on the highway would reduce your vehicle’s aerodynamics.

Even though driving with the air conditioner on puts more load on the engine, it does not affect fuel efficiency as much as driving with the windows down would. This means that neither option is good, but overall, driving with the air conditioner on the highway is the better option.

But do not fret – you can help improve your fuel efficiency even more when driving on the highway with the AC on. Make sure you are using just the right amount of AC needed. A majority of drivers blast the AC for a few minutes, turn it down, and then turn it back up again when it starts to get warmer inside the cabin. Instead, drivers should keep the air conditioner set at a proper temperature to keep the cabin regulated.

How To Improve Fuel Efficiency
Aside from using the two different methods at different times, there are many other ways to help improve your vehicle’s fuel economy during hot weather. When possible, try to park in the shade – this will ensure the inside of your vehicle does not get as hot.

If you plan on driving with the AC, roll the windows down for a few minutes to help get all the hot air out of the cabin. This will help the inside of your vehicle cool down faster.

You should also not idle with the AC running. It is better to turn the AC on after you begin to drive. The vehicle will be able to reach a cooler temperature faster if the vehicle is in motion.

WHAT IS ROAD RAGE?

Road rage is aggressive or angry behavior exhibited by a driver of a road vehicle. These behaviors include rude and offensive gestures, verbal insults, physical threats or dangerous driving methods targeted toward another driver or a pedestrian in an effort to intimidate or release frustration.

12 tips on how to avoid road rage:

1. Attitude. Driving is not a competitive sport. Stay calm and focus on getting from one place to another safely and try to forget about time if you are running late.

2. Smarts. One driver cannot fight alone. Do not allow yourself to get drawn into a confrontation because it can only end badly.

3. Courtesy. Error on the side of being courteous and kind to other drivers.

4. Turn Signal. Using your turn signal ensures that drivers around you will not be surprised by your driving.

5. Changing Lanes. Do not cut off other drivers and make sure you have plenty of room when you merge onto a highway.

6. Keep Up the Pace. Driving in the inner lane slower than the prevailing traffic is asking for trouble. Regardless of the speed you are traveling, move to the left lane if someone wants to pass you.

7. Tailgating. Not only does it greatly reduce your ability to respond to traffic, but tailgating can also annoy the other drivers around you. Keeping a safe distance never annoyed anyone.

8. Gestures. Do not make obscene gestures. Avoid any visible sign that you may be angry or frustrated and wanting to take that anger out on some one.

9. Keep Your Distance. If a driver is displaying signs of aggressive driving.

10. Ease Up. If someone cuts you off, then slow down and give them room. Their aggression may escalate if you respond in a similar way.

11. Get Help. If you think you are in serious danger, use your cell phone to call the police or drive to a heavily populated area.

12. Apologize. If you make a mistake, try to apologize with an appropriate gesture, such as a smile and a wave of the hand.

Good Morning to all of you,Except those who increase speed when they see a pedestrian crossing the road and then start hooting!

Road safety tips

▪︎Brake before the bend, not in it.

▪︎When roads are wet and slippery allow more time to brake.

▪︎Speed limit is a guide and not a target.

▪︎ Drive at a speed that won’t affect your decision-making ability, this may be well below the limit.

▪︎Drive cautiously at all times. You might know a road like the back of your hand, but you won’t know when there's an obstruction
Even if you’re familiar with a road, never take it for granted as the conditions can be different every time.

▪︎ Always ensure that you can stop safely within the distance that you can see to be clear.

▪︎If you get stuck behind a slow moving vehicle be patient, Dips in roads, bends and other junctions joining your road often hide oncoming vehicles, so unless it's absolutely essential, don't overtake.

▪︎Drive slow and wide when passing more vulnerable road users such as cyclists and pedestrians
Ignore your mobile, and other distractions, focus on the road.
