Behind every seamless finish is a level of detail most people never notice, but always appreciate in the final result.
Here, Edith L., our lead cabinet finisher, is working through one of the most challenging parts of restoration: color matching. This example shows an older toe skin section of cabinetry and the careful process used to recreate and blend the finish so it aligns naturally with the surrounding surfaces.
Color matching is one of those skills that cannot be rushed. It takes patience, repetition, and a trained eye to understand how tones shift with age, lighting, and material. Getting it right means building layers carefully and adjusting until the repair disappears into the original work.
At Renew Medic by ARK, we keep this process in-house so we can maintain full control over quality, consistency, and craftsmanship from start to finish. It allows us to make sure every detail meets the standard we stand behind.
It’s work like this that turns restoration into something more than repair.
