1. Hanging them too LOW
If your rod sits right above the window, it shrinks the whole room.
Higher = taller ceilings (even if they aren’t).

2. Curtains that are too SHORT
If they don’t touch the floor, it throws everything off.
They should just graze the floor—not hover awkwardly.

3. Not going WIDE enough
If your curtains cover part of the window when open, you’re blocking natural light.
Extend the rod past the frame so the window can fully shine.

4. Using panels that are too THIN
Flat, skimpy curtains make the space feel unfinished.
Full, wider panels = instantly more high-end.
