Bullseye 100th Anniversary history moment: The idea for a country club to be built in Wisconsin Rapids can be traced directly to George W. Mead, the founder of Consolidated Papers. He was encouraged and assisted in this endeavor by John Alexander of the Nekoosa Edwards Paper Company. They thought it would be a great idea to entertain out-of-town customers and businessmen from the area.

The grounds were put into shape, and a formal opening of the 9-hole golf course was held on August 26, 1922. The original 9-hole layout evolved throughout the years. Later, another nine holes were added. Those nine holes would eventually become what we know today as the Tri-City Golf Course. Then in 1968, nine holes were added to the Bull’s Eye Country Club course making up the 18 golf holes we know today.

Please join us tomorrow at 9:00 PM for Bullseye Golf Club's 100th anniversary, The Golf Ball’s After Party, featuring fireworks (starting shortly after 9 pm), dancing, craft cocktails from the 1920s, and so much more!
