Remember that time you were sitting in your nice and comfy La-Z-Boy chair reminiscing about your “totally bitchin” hairstyle that was the trademark of your senior year in highschool? Remember how you went to your hairstylist the next day with an old Polaroid of you with a perm and walked out lookin like weird Al’s sister? Some things are better left in the past, but not this. We at the shop just refinished this beautiful vintage sewing table and turned it into a nice end table/ desk.
The top is solid oak with oak veneers. Everything has been washed and sanded to remove decades of dirt, dust, oil, and minor damages. Small spots of the veneer have chipped away on some areas along the edges. I glued the lifting veneer back down to prevent further splintering and sealed it all with multiple layers of Tung Oil to protect the new finish and maintain a vintage look for the wood. The metal legs/base is original and has been cleaned, the pedal still works and spins the wheel so all mechanical parts are intact. All hinges and visible metal is original to the piece aside from the four non visible screws that secure the black metal pan under the table.

In 1925 Henry Ford invented the Model T Roadster, the first pickup truck. He inadvertently laid ground for mudding with the boys and all sorts of hoonigan behavior. In yesterday of 2023 I have created these damn fine jewelry/trinket boxes from oak and reclaimed maple. They have felt lined bottoms on the inside and an oil finished outside for protection.

Small jewelry box I made for my wife out of Oak with a felt liner. Decided to let the natural color of the red oak shine so I chose not to stain it but still used teak oil to seal and protect the outside.
