Paul’s 71st Annual Bazaar and Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, November 8, from 10:00 a.m. The theme of this year’s Bazaar is “Ringing in the Season” and the focus is on fellowship and fun. Margaret’s Circle is organizing this year’s event with many longtime volunteers taking leadership roles in planning and staffing the various booths and activities. As always, donations of merchandise and vol
unteer help are needed. To donate or volunteer, contact Christine Storch at [email protected]. To kick off the Bazaar, a gathering for craft-making and socializing will be held on Thursday, October 19, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Child care will be available during the workshop, but you must sign up for it in advance. Contact Elizabeth Foley at [email protected]. This year’s Bazaar will offer popular traditions from years past, including:
The Bazaar Food Booth, featuring festively-wrapped homemade baked goods. This is an extremely popular area of the Bazaar. We welcome homemade goodies including cookies and cakes, pies, jams and jellies, candy, chutney and even soup. Bring in your favorite dish to share with our shoppers. The Wishing Tree silent auction, stocked with goods and service vouchers donated by area businesses and parishioners. Let us know if you have a donation for the Wishing Tree. Every year we have new and fun items at auction. If you have something you would like to donate, email Jamie Stacy at [email protected]. The Bazaar Luncheon, served in Colhoun B and C from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. To-go orders may be picked up in the hallway outside the kitchen during that time. The menu includes a choice of lasagna or chicken salad with bread, salad, tea or coffee and a choice of brownie or lemon tart. For information about the Lunchenon, contact Anne Dunn at [email protected]. Raffle tickets are on sale at $5 each in advance and throughout the day of the Bazaar until drawings for prizes take place. You do not need to be present to win a prize, which this year again includes a reserved parking space at the Preschool. For more information or to donate something to the Raffle, contact Liz Noland at [email protected]
Bazaar Angels support the Bazaar by making tax-deductible cash donations. Mail your check, payable to St. Paul’s ECW with “Bazaar” in the memo line, to the church. Vendors supports the Bazaar by making a small payment to the ECW and a table is provided to sell products during Bazaar hours. If you are interested in this please contact Emily Shute at [email protected]
Tickets for the raffle and the luncheon can be purchased in advance at the front desk and on Sunday, October 22, 29 and November 5 in the library before and after classes.
“We’re selling Luncheon tickets in advance to streamline ordering. Parishioners can easily treat their co-workers to lunch, either to eat in or to-go,” said Christine Storch, ECW President. “The raffle tickets can be bought ahead of time, too, so that even if you can’t make it to church the day of the Bazaar, you still have a chance to win.”
Proceeds of the Bazaar and Luncheon will support the mission and ministries of St. Paul’s as well as local, national and international charities recommended to the ECW Council by the Co-Chairs. Join us on November 8 for a fun and festive start to the Christmas season!
