My newest addition to the shop! I’ve wanted to make this for over a year now, but just never seemed to get around to it till now. The lift has a 2000 lb capacity! The top is 2” thick laminated ash with MICROJIG dovetail clamp slots on the top and sides and a tung oil finish. No more struggling to lift heavy projects up onto the bench!

Recently finished these pieces for a primary bath remodel. The client was looking for something clean and modern. After a few discussions to explore their style and ideas, this is the design we developed. Rift-sawn white oak floating vanity, make up vanity, and floating corner bench all finished with Oyster Rubio Monocoat. The client was thrilled and I was quite pleased with the final product myself.

Had a great time at the this past week. Had the opportunity to meet some great people and see some really cool things. Automation was definitely a theme, but there were still plenty of things for those that are still primarily hands on. Definitely found a few things to put on my Christmas list…Lol

Simple and fun! That was the goal for this one. 20” x 48” x 1.5” thick black walnut slab finished with Rubio walnut and top coated with ceramic nanofinish. It bumped up the sheen just enough and it looks perfect! The base is simple 1.5” square stock that I had welded up be a local fab shop and has a satin black finish.

Once again I made what is becoming an annual trip to the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship to learn from some of the most amazing people I’ve had the privilege of meeting. It’s a wonderful chance to expand my skill set and become a better craftsman. But more importantly, courses there offer the chance to enjoy time with my peers, explore the beautiful state of Maine, and rejuvenate my love for what I’m fortunate enough to do.

This year I had the opportunity to learn some wonderful techniques in wood bending that hope to employ in future projects. This was my favorite class to date and I look forward to what next year hopefully brings.
