A couple years ago someone I worked with gave me a bunch of barn wood. The guys who took the barn down didn’t want these boards and some others because they said they were too rotten. This is a 3 foot piece of a 14 foot hand hewn 4 x 6 pine beam. I have 7 of these beams. I worked this up with my tablesaw and 12 1/2 inch planer to see if they were still good for a project. I have my answer. Now to build something with them.

A customer wanted a nice entry way for their front door. They didn’t want the typical square so I curved it to follow the swing of the front door. They are planning to install carpet over the old laminate floor. I’ll finish tomorrow morning with grout.

Customized an Econoline conversion van. Owner removed all rear seats. I installed linoleum flooring, a platform bed with storage underneath and a privacy curtain. Be can be taken apart in minutes if needed. Owner is moving to Arizona and will use the van for further retirement travels.

Same house as closet/porch build I installed a new front exterior door. When I removed old door it had old clothes stuffed around door frame as insulation. I will make custom trim to fill gap between new door trim and siding.
