Getting a headboard build well underway today! And getting a lot of the useless stuff moved out to the new storage building in the backyard! Super thankful to be reclaiming some shop space.

I may need a new tool to put in this new space.. Oh the options... what’s your favorite tool and why?

Finishing up the Christmas boxes!

- Paint (great job !)
- Pull off
- Final sand at 220
- Apply Tung oil

I’m very pleased with the results! They will be used for years to come!

The last step on the Christmas box assembly was the glue up. This process went smoothly thanks to the to line everything up and the clamps to hold everything in place.

Next steps are paint and oil to finish them up!

The next piece of the Christmas boxes was to cut the joinery and get them sanded down.

The miters for the corners and dado/rabbet for the base were done off camera. I’m using a to strengthen the miters and a to sand them up to 180 grit.

Happy new year! Welcoming in 2021 with a new and much needed (and more functional) workbench. This thing is going to be great... and yes, there’s a top for it!

I love what a good paint mask can do for you. Made painting these Christmas boxes super easy! Peeled it off and it was ready to go!

Have you used anything like this? It works better than any painters tape I have used!

This is definitely the most special project I did all year. Christmas Eve boxes for the boys!

wanted them to have special boxes on Christmas Eve. The contents were set but we needed boxes. Well, I started with ran them through just about every tool in my shop and wound up with these beauty’s.

We are thrilled to use these for years to come!
