One of the biggest mistakes people make when buying a dining table is choosing the wrong size.

A few quick guidelines:
• Plan for about 24–30 inches per person
• Leave at least 36 inches around the table for walkways
• Bigger isn’t always better — proportions matter

Most dining rooms work best with tables between:
72”–96” long
36”–48” wide

or 48" - 66" round

A properly sized table makes the entire room feel more balanced and functional.

‘What wood should I choose?’

The answer depends on the look and feel you want in your home.

White Oak:
Timeless, durable, versatile. One of the most popular choices for modern and transitional interiors.

Walnut:
Rich, warm, elegant. A classic heirloom wood with incredible depth and character.

Maple:
Clean, bright, and durable with a more understated grain pattern. Usually stained to achieve the perfect color.

The good news?
All of them are structurally excellent hardwoods.

The ‘best’ wood is usually the one that fits your style, lighting, and overall home design.
