Hatch & Company Wood Works

My name is Eric. I served in the United States Marine Corps from 2006 -2009 and was able to make one seven month tour in Iraq. I love and support my military, my Country, and my public service workers. Law enforcement and their families hold a special place in my heart along with all who sacrifice their holidays, sleep, sanity, and lives to protect and save our communities. I am the father of two little boys who are my world and a husband to my best friend. A couple of years ago my wife started showing me farmhouse decor, farm tables, and other “rustic” furniture. As she was shopping for items for the house I realized that the items she wanted were things I would enjoy making. I also realized that the cost of these items were very high, which made me want to make buying more affordable. I started my company out as His & Hers Pallet designs. The company made decor and flags for the most part. As I started to receive more orders I noticed that most people did not want items made from pallets, instead they wanted items made from fresh cut woods. Then my customers started ordering farm tables.

I had to take a break from building anything due to my family selling our house and living in an apartment. When I decided to start building again I changed the name of the company. I felt that the “pallet designs” was false advertisement. I work a full time job in Raleigh and in my off time I make items that are ordered from friends, family, and our wonderful customers. As my name is on each item that leaves my shop, I spend extra time on each order to assure that the orders are to the customers liking. My goal is to keep my customers coming back and to make friends with each person who comes to me with their orders.
