Another friendly reminder the shop will again have very fresh, very local, organically grown beans for sale Saturday from 2-5 Goodgrass Farm Llc along with our fresh milk, cream, yogurts, grassfinished beef from The Serenity Homestead poultry from Peach Creek Poultry honey from Squirrel Tree Ranch and our new favorite mustard(which we just had to restock) Bee and Beer Mustard . Open 2-5 we look forward to serving you.

So fresh you can hear them snap! We will have String Beans and Flat or Roma green beans in shop today they are organically grown about five miles from the Dairy here in New Waverly and they were harvested just this morning. The Dairyman and I loved a dinner of green beans,new potatoes a slab of corn bread all topped with a generous hunk of butter, lots of honey or ribbon cane syrup on the cornbread, a generous amount of salt and pepper on the beans
Milk, cream, kefir, yogurt and two different butters one popular one from Tulip Tree Creamery and the other a new to here butter from High Lawn Farm and of course we have Squirrel Tree Ranch honey.

Long weekend anyone? We Goodgrass Farm Llc are open today 2-5 and have plenty of fresh milk, cream, buttermilk, chocolate milk and yogurt. HONEY BUTTER back in stock as well as Tulip Tree Creamery butter and I have added another wonderful butter, a new favorite with staff here, from High Lawn Farm come in for a taste. PECAN BUTTER is in stock as well from WATKINS PECANS and we have been pleased to stock Bee and Beer Mustard small batch whole grain mustard perfect addition to the Memorial Day barbeque table.

Here is another new shop item we just started carrying. We will offer samples this week so you can taste just how good it is thanks to Bee and Beer Mustard another local outfit we met at the Huntsville Arts Festival last weekend which just goes to show you that you will never know what hidden gems you will discover when supporting local events.
Shop open 2-5, it is a damp rainy day here but honestly I can use all the rain the pastures are dry, so dry there is no run off in the creek.
The bovine employees are just fine we do not expect any new calves until next month and after months of frustrating set backs we are again in high Grass Finished milk production and restarting cheese manufacturing.

I had the good fortune to meet local children's author RICK SMITH at the Huntsville Arts Festival. As soon as I saw his book MOO COW COUNTS illustrated by BELINDA HAMILTON I knew I needed to stock it in our shop. Bright colors, simple rhyming text produced by talented local people come grab a copy to read aloud with your children and grandchildren.

Shop open today 2-5. While you are here stop at our LITTLE FREE LIBRARY KIOSK by the front gate the structure was a Christmas gift from my son in law several years ago and I really enjoy sharing our collection of reading material with the community. Now don't touch the fence it is electric and can deliver a powerful punch but help yourself to something new to read courtesy of your friends here Goodgrass Farm Llc
