The Barn - Williamsport Fabric Discount Center is a successful family owned business. Jake Golbitz owned and operated the business from 1950 until his death in 1981. His son, Gary Golbitz, continued his father's legacy and operates the business in its original location at 1108 Vine Avenue, Williamsport PA. "The Barn," as it is known in the community, was a horse stable on "Millionaire's Row", a pr

estigious street in Williamsport during the logging boom of the 1890's. Today, the business has grown to be the largest independent fabric retailer in Central Pennsylvania. The original inventory for the business began through the acquisition of textile remnants from local furniture companies, drapery workrooms and clothing manufacturers. Today, we purchase from the largest fabric jobbers in the Carolinas, New York City & Georgia. Our mission is to provide our customers with the best products, prices and sincere quality service.
