We accept donations of gently used furniture at the warehouse on Wednesdays, Thursdays and 3rd Saturdays of the month, from 10am-12pm. Please see our Donation Guidelines to learn more about what we can and cannot accept

we collaborated with our BFF Regina Carter’s Repurposed Life organization to distribute a truck full of furniture to the residents of the Morris Houses in the Bronx.

We shared over 75 items of assorted furniture — dining tables, LOTS of armchairs, bookcases, nightstands, occasional tables and more — and all of it was gone in less than two hours. We were so pleased to work with Repurposed Life to find new homes for all that great furniture!

In August we collaborated with our BFF Regina Carter’s Repurposed Life organization to distribute a truck full of furniture to the residents of the Morris Houses in the Bronx.

Furniture Sharehouse is proud of the work that all our member agencies do on behalf of communities in need in Westchester. Among those agencies is Lilac House in Mt. Vernon - founded by Pam Zimba, to help formerly incarcerated women successfully re-enter community. Lilac House became a member agency in 2025 and we had the honor of redecorating and furnishing their home location to help create a more comfortable, warm, and welcoming environment (see pics). Pam’s work and Lilac House were inspired by the work of Susan Burton, founder of A New Way of Life, who was named a 2010 CNN Hero. We are delighted to share this recently aired CNN profile on Susan Burton that features several references to Lilac House and Pam (aired Aug 13, 2026 https://www.cnn.com/2026/08/13/us/video/susan-burton-a-new-way-of-life-cnnheroes-highlight).

Huge thanks to our wonderful BFFs — Melany, Kathy and Sandy — for their multi-day project sorting and matching our huge collection of bed and bath linens and organizing them neatly on the shelves! What a joy for clients and shoppers! Thanks SO MUCH, ladies!
To all our followers, we welcome donations of good condition home goods including linens, throw pillows, rugs, kitchen and dishware, and artwork!

Sometimes the donated pieces we receive need a little extra care and repair. Our wonderfully talented volunteers have woodworking skills to at being old tables back to gleaming life!

Our client in this case is a single mom of two daughters referred to Furniture Sharehouse by Family Services of Westchester. Having secured housing and rebuilding after struggling with domestic violence, homelessness, and physical disability, she was left with no funds to purchase furniture. We are here to help with YOUR DONATIONS of gently used furniture.
