Finally made another desk top for a sit stand. This one was made from live-edge, 5/4 thickness granadillo. Ended up extremely pretty (and heavy)!

My brother wanted to learn some woodworking and needed a dining table, so we built this together. He made the top from local elm I dried. I built the base at the beginning of the pandemic from repurposed red oak from discarded furniture. Super solid. Beautiful.

Another bigger project finished just in time for Christmas! Just a solid walnut live edge bench. Top made from very curly walnut. Base made from some walnut my dad milled and dried back in the day. This went to my parents. The big stretcher was in the base was joined with full lap joints I cut by hand. Very, very happy with how it turned out!

Another big project finally finished! A Scandinavian-style book shelf. Each shelf is unique, with tropical species (bubinga, canarywood, leapardwood, and purpleheart) and layouts chosen by the client. The Scandinavian-syle frame was made from solid, highly figured curly (aka fiddleback) maple. The frame is slender, but constructed with very strong traditional joinery (bridle joints up top, dowels for the bookend rails). The main joint used was the Japanese castle joint, resulting in the mini checkerboard patterns on the front. Probably the best piece I've made so far.

Finally, finally finished the drawers for my parents' live-edge desk with a Shaker base. Walnut and curly maple sides, baltic birch hardwood ply bottoms, and custom drawer pulls made of Macassar Ebony (aka striped ebony). Hand-cut full through dovetails in back and half-blind dovetails in front, also traditional Shaker style.

Proud of this work. Should last generations. It even comes with a 150 year warranty that starts 50 years from now!
