My client knew it was time to go through the winter clothes that she no longer loved and try on spring/summer clothes since she had lost quite a lot of weight. We began the session one closet with a pile and slowly narrowed it down to a realistic group of clothing. This is just part of what we do at Organize This. No job is too small or too large. My client Paula had this genius idea as a way to easily donate clothing. Get a cheap laundry basket, put a 13 gallon garbage bag in it, secure it with clothespins or heavy duty clips and the folding is magical. When you're done, simply unclip and tie the bag up.

I am a fan of recycling; not of boxes. Here are some ways to make sure the cardboard gets into the recycling bin and your products easily accessible. If you need to save instructions. place them in the baggy you keep your product in. The second item is a clip closer and I keep it in the snack drawer (yes I actually have a dedicated snack drawer LOL)

I don’t like bags after they are opened ( easy for things to go stale or crawly things to find their way in) so I always transfer food (spaghetti rice & cereal) to plastic or glass containers.

This kitchen was overloaded with too many same-sized containers. We moved the others to a higher cabinet that will hold them until needed again. This will make room for those that are used daily or weekly.

This picture shows how much ‘stuff’ Paula was able to let go off. The willingness may not come overnight - we have been working together for a few years- but once you start decluttering and are honest about what you have really used in the last few years, it becomes easier. And kudos to her for donating it all.
